's going to be too hard to see around the city. we have been sort of all around. san francisco is just overflowing with 49ers pride. we did a couple of stops along the city today just to check it out as we are days way from the big game. yesterday mayor lee declared that it would be red and gold weekend couraging fans and local businesses to show off their 49ers pride by sporting the team logo or colors. the city's devotion to the super bowl bound 49ers, local graffiti artist steve and tim have aptly named their 30-foot masterpiece the city bleeds gold. the mural was developed on a rooftop using rock climbing gear to get up that high. if this is any indication of what's going to happen on sunday, the 9ers may have something to worry about. this is the san francisco zoo's black rhino named boon. he was supposed to eat the baltimore ravens for breakfast this morning. zookeepers created the ravens logo out of boone's breakfast vegetables and then let him in to eat it but instead he ate the go 9ers instead and boone is named after the 49ers right tackle

>> ama: san francisco police are looking for a man who is accused of setting a woman on fire. that happened just after noon in the bayview district. sergio quintana has been following the story and joins us live with what happened. reporter: witnesses who saw what happened describe a gruesome attack. they say a man lit a woman on fire a half block down the street. she then ran about another block that way, trying to get home for help. >> a smoldering sweater in the middle of the street is what 25-year-old star lamar was wearing when her family says her boyfriend, 22-year-old detects ter oliver, doused her with gasoline and then lit her on fire. he sister says she is in critical condition at st. francis hospital. >> they had dead skin, and auntie hasn't win to see her yet. they said she's doing fine. >> according to the family, the couple began yelling at each other at the laundromat down the street. at one point the argument go so heated he allegedly ran home to get some gasoline, then ran back towards the laundromat. >> i saw him pour gasoline some a bottle, and he left. i d

joins us from san francisco with the new lead in the kevin collins case. good morning, tara. >> reporter: the last person that kevin collins was seen talking to was a tall blond man with a black dog and a person matching that description was a person of interest in the case. used to live at this home here. he has since died. investigators revisiting the case realized that cadaver dogs were never used during the search of a home. san francisco police and fbi agents spent 12 hours out here. they did detect remains under the garage door. this is just blocks from where ten-year-old kevin collins was last seen waiting for a bus after school at masonic and oak back in 1984. >> we were able to pull up the concrete and discovered there were bones located underneath the concrete. medical examiners did respond on scene. they did a preliminary investigation of the bones and they believe it to be animal origin. not human origin. >> reporter: we want to emphasize the people that live in the duplex are not suspects. the man that was a person of interest was questioned after kevin vanished. he had an a

's office did confirm with us that in fact a 16-year-old girl from south san francisco was shot. she's in stable condition this morning. and it all stems from a shooting, as you said that's correct happened late last night about 10:30 right across the street from the high school in this relatively quiet milbrae neighborhood. let's get to you the video we have from the scene last night. we are here at santa theresa and park boulevard. police were combing the area for more than an hour searching for the shooter and police aren't saying whether they have anybody in custody. initial reports are the girl was shot in her abdomen and thigh. we can't get that confirmed but within the last 30 minutes the public information officer from the sheriff's office confirmed with us indeed a 16-year-old girl was shot and she is in stable condition. that's the latest from milbrae. kira klapper, abc7 news. >> we are glad the girl is doing okay. thank you, kira. >>> oakland police are investigating a shooting that has left two people injured. police respond today 68th avenue and mcarthur boulevard around

, juliette goodrich is at the hall of justice in san francisco with what police are saying tonight. >> reporter: tonight, san francisco police are investigating this sexual assault allegation involving 49ers' wide receiver michael crabtree. as of tonight, amid this investigation, cbs 5 has learned he is in atlanta with his team. san francisco police say the alleged sexual assault involving 49ers' michael crabtree occurred in a san francisco hotel room last sunday morning after the 49ers play-off victory over the green bay packers. today, crabtree was practicing with the team in santa clara. our cameras caught him literally running late to board the team bus as it was en route to the airport and then on to atlanta. in a news release, the san francisco police department said, quote, michael crabtree has been interviewed with his lawyer present and has cooperated in this investigation. michael crabtree has not been detained or arrested and has agreed to make himself available to investigators in the future. the 49ers say they are aware of the al

assault and robbery charges. >> new this woman an audit of agencies in san francisco show one far outpaced the others for racking up overtime. san francisco muni racked up more overtime than any other agency going $18 million over budget. the san francisco chronicle reports they beat out police and fire when it came to overtime with ten supervisors making more than $100,000 in overtime boosting their pay to $200,000 last year. one mechanic more than doubled his $106,000 annual salary by making an additional $163,000 in overtime. the chief says that a lot of work was done at night when the trains were not running to get a new train control system working. abc7 will have more in a live report next half hour. >> u.s. postal inspectors hope surveillance video will catch two men who stole mail from at least one apartment building in san francisco. security cameras captured these images of the men in action. the building manager says the two worked together to break in 32 mailboxes and snatched bags of mail. the landlord needs to repair the broken looks. this man did not want to share his name.
and fast track lanes are moving nicely. >> new this morning, a just-released report says san francisco muni overtime costs are over budget, and abc7 news reporter joins us live from the station with an employee who took an unbelievable amount in overtime. >> that is right. the "san francisco chronicle" is reporting that mull -- multiple muni employees made mother than $100,000 in overtime. the average worker, working 40 hours a week works about 2,000 hour as year. some clocked in 4,000 hours in a year. one mechanic made an extra $164,000 for clocking in 2,000 hours of overtime. the chief says the mechanic was paid for overnight work, on a new train control system when trains did not run. ten supervisors made more than $100,000 in overtime pay alone for the 2011 and 1212 fiscal year. one worked street corners keeping an eye on buss and trains and helping out in emergencies, and this supervisor clocked the most hours with 2,262 hours of overtime, earning an extra $147,000 on top of salary. we have a call in for a response to the shocking numbers and we do expect to have that coming up on abc7

it is astonishing, the san francisco chronicle is reporting that the city's overtime payment went $18 million over budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year of 25 top overtime earners who work for the city, 22 worked for muni. ten supervisors made more than $100,000 in overtime. bringing their pay to more than $200,000 for the year so they worked 80 hour work weeks every single week of the year. we have a breakdown of the pay for a mechanic whose base salary was $106,000. he put in for 1,954 hours of over time. an average person worked 2,000 a year so the mechanic got paid for work 4,000 hours in one year. at $83.85 an hour he made $163,842 in overtime. with add-ons he made more than $293,000 for the year. this happened during the first year of lee's mayor, and san francisco police and fire departments overpaid in overtime and those departments along with muni spent $154 million for that fiscal year in overtime. >> thank you. oakland officials will make a major announcement declaring a local state of emergency to seek outside help over a wave of violence with a recent attack involving a drive-by shooti

traffic. kristen and eric? >> thank you. happening now a san francisco woman is in critical condition with burns to her face after family members say her boyfriend doused her with gasoline and set her on fire. police are searching for the boyfriend, 22-year-old dexter oliver. they were at a laundromat and got in a heated argument. the victim's sister say he came home, poured gasoline in a bottle and headed back to the laundromat. amy will have an update from the hospital in 30 minutes. >> two suspects in the murder of two teen girls in oakland are due in court. the 18-year-old powell faces two counts of murder and possibly the death penalty. and another is charged with accessory. the victims were best friend. the 15-year-old and 16-year-old were found shot several times in east oakland in november. witnesses say there was an argument before the deadly shooting. >> a 16-year-old girl injured in a shooting near a high school at millbrae and san bruno border was shot in the stomach and leg across the street from the high school. it happened at 10:30 on saturday night. police did not say
